Lake Maansarovar is a freshwater lake. The word "Maansarovar" originates from Sanskrit, which is a combination of the words "Mana" and "sarovar," with mana meaning mind and sarovar meaning lake.

In mythology it is said one who takes a dip in it becomes an angel. Baba says Gyan Maansarovar - the lake of knowledge in which one takes dip to become an angel.

'Mrug' means 'a dear' and 'trishna' means 'craving(of water)'. This term refers to the Mirage - an image you think you see in very hot weather, for example water in a desert, but which does not really exist. So the thirsty dear thinks that there is an oasis in desert and runs towards it. But in reality, it is a mirage and the dear keeps on running mirage after mirage and remains thirsty only.

In murli, baba refers to this as chasing anything that gives a delusion of attainment but actually is only temporary

'मृग' अर्थात 'हिरन' और 'तृष्णा' अर्थात 'प्यास (पानी की)'। मृगतृष्णा का अर्थ है किसी काल्पनिक अर्थात मायावी वस्तु के पीछे भागना। मरूभूमि (डेजर्ट) में कुछ दूरी पर गरम रेत की चमक पानी के होने का एहसास दिलाती है, तो प्यासा हिरन गरम रेत की चमक को पानी समझ कर उसे पीने के लिए दौड़ता है, मगर पास जाने पर कुछ भी नहीं मिलता। फ़िर आगे वाली गरम रेत पानी लगती है और वह प्यासा दौड़ता ही रहता है- इसे ही मृगतृष्णा कहते हैं।

बाबा मुरली में, विनाशी वस्तुओं के पीछे जाने को मृग तृष्णा कहते हैं

One of the three subtle deities shown in Trimurti

Shankar is symbolic of Brahma’s perfect stage of renunciation (tyaga) and intense meditation (tapasya). That is why on the path of devotion, Shankar is always shown in meditative posture in constant yoga with God Shiva. This is the method to become the destroyer of the five vices as well as the master of the five senses. That is why Shankar has been portrayed as the one through whom Trimurti Shiv Baba carries out the destruction of the vicious world.
